The history of how Nightmare Porter came into being intrigued me and as a young man who used to drink Mild and Guiness (prior to Coeliac diagnosis) I had a void in my social life! So I tried this tempting brew and once my taste buds had adjusted - this was the one and now my void is no more!!!!

Great stuff!
Brilliant, really can't rate nightmare porter high enough. Great to find ales that a celiac can drink, as local supermarkets don't have much choice, if any. Or any that are any good. Very balanced, and incredibly smooth. I Look forward to trying other ales from Hambleton brewery.

Best gluten free stout
Best gluten free stout I have ever had. As someone with celiac disease I have missed Guineas and other stouts, this really fills the void.

My new favourite beer!
Perhaps the hardest thing about being gluten intolerant is all the great beers that I can no longer enjoy. Nightmare Porter has been anything but a nightmare for me! If is firmly established as my new favourite beer. I would never know it was GF, it is easily as good as any of my favourites from my pre-GF days - maybe better! Thank you Hambleton Brewery!

Birthday treat!
Since being diagnosed Coeliac I really miss Guinness. .. what a treat to find Nightmare porter! Fantastic beer brewed with passion.

Top quality
I tried the GFA after it appeared in my local supermarket, I then ended up buying a mixed gluten free case from here. This is the first I’ve tried and it is superb. I’ve missed really good beer a lot whilst being gluten free but this is quality and friends who are not gf agreed.

Proper GF stout at last
So I was diagnosed coeliac in 1998 and in 35 years had not enjoyed my favourite drink…. Guinnness. How amazing it was to sample Nightmare Porter and enjoy those flavours again. Smooth, smoky, liquorice flavours with small bubbles (it’s not gassy if you know what I mean). Amazing!

A wonderful solace for the gluten free
I used to be a real ale drinker, and since going gluten free have missed bottled strong beers such as Old Peculiar or Old Brewery Brown. And then at a Whitby fish and chip shop I came across Nightmare Porter. Heavenly, and I now have a crate awaiting Christmas (though it probably won't last that long)

My new favourite beer!
I was given a mixed case of 12 GF beers last Christmas. The Nightmare Porter was my absolute favourite. Sadly there was only one bottle! I shall definitely be ordering more this year! Delicious full flavoured beer.

As a previous reviewer noted, this is great to replace the Guinness I used to enjoy. But it’s so much more than this. It is a great beer in its own right with a depth and length of flavour to savour and enjoy. Welcome to my life, Nightmare! 1970s Irish rock band Horslips sang ‘ride a nightmare on your ride to hell’ but this is definitely going in the opposite direction…

Delicious Porter
I bought a box of this for a nice autumn/winter drink at the weekends. It’s got a lovely refined yet complex taste and is great to sup whilst watching tv in the evenings.

Very good porter
Lovely porter - just as described.
It is difficult to get porter at the moment as the trend is towards sticky gooey high alcohol stouts - which are ok in moderation.
So it’s nice to get a consistent good porter.
The keg gives a little more head than the bottle and I think is a little drier. Both are fine!

GF Stout
I’ve searched long and hard for a replacement to my much missed (and gluten filled) Guinness. The quest is over, this beautiful porters ticks all the boxes and then some. Love it and will be purchasing in larger quantities over the coming months

Cracking Little porter
Just love this Porter. Nice and smooth and not too strong. Full robust flavour without being too bitter.
